An Abakaliki Chief Magistrates Court on Monday remanded one Chigozie Nwachukwu at a correctional centre in Ebonyi, allegedly for attempted murder and belonging to a cult group.

Nwachukwu, 27, a suspected member of Barger Confraternity, is facing a three-count charge which bordered on conspiracy, cultism and attempted murder.
The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Bassey Okon, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Nov. 24, 2022 at Amachi-Unuhu, Abakaliki Local Government Area of the state.
